An International Plein Air Painting Group

Founded in 2004, the High Desert Painters is an international, juried group of professional artists that meets regularly to study the art of painting, encourages each other's endeavors, and, most importantly, creates plein air paintings in amazing locations.

The group members originally met during painting excursions to Ghost Ranch in the High Desert of New Mexico, and the High Desert continues to be a focus of their efforts. The group has extended their collaboration and now travels to other areas in the United States and Abroad.

High Desert Painters offers annual group shows, to share with the public the paintings that result from their travels together.
